UNIFORMS AND SPIRIT WEAR
The West Potomac Crew team uniforms will be delivered in time for our first regattas in late March.
The team keeps a small inventory of basic uniform items for athletes who join the team after the order deadline has passed.
EVERYONE must have a uniform. The current West Potomac Crew uniform consists of a tank top and black compression shorts (Tank and Trou) OR crew Uni (one piece top and bottom). Rowers can choose the Tank/Trou combo or Uni. They are considered matched uniforms so there is no need to purchase both.
Note that rowers may choose to wear their own black spandex shorts with the Tank as long as the inseam is 6” or longer.
In addition, all rowers should have a Cold Weather Training Top (tech shirt) for colder regatta days.
A popular, but strictly OPTIONAL uniform item is the Waterproof Splash Jacket (Stevenson Weathershirt). It is expensive but is very versatile as it can be worn as an outer layer at practices/regattas. Many rowers wear it as a regular jacket at school as well.
Other optional items include:
Team bag; very handy for carrying all the clothes and other items needed for practices and regattas.
Spirit Wear t-shirts, pullovers, sweats and hats. These items are perfect items for either cold or warm days near the water, or anywhere else for that matter. The team’s spirit wear usually comes from a different vendor from the uniform items. Note that sales dates may differ from the uniform order dates.
